What is Cupping Therapy?
Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to lift the skin and underlying soft tissue. At Tri‑Covery, our therapists may incorporate cupping into a massage or recovery session to help reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and provide short-term relief from soreness and discomfort.
Cupping is especially popular among athletes, active adults, and clients dealing with tight or overworked muscles.
Potential of Cupping Therapy
- Reduce muscle tightness and soreness
- Improve short-term range of motion
- Promote relaxation and recovery
- Address areas of restricted tissue
- Reducing inflammation
- Boosting cellular immunity
What Should You Expect?
Your therapist will place cups over targeted areas based on your needs. You may experience a pulling sensation, but treatment should remain comfortable. Temporary circular marks are common and may remain visible for several days.
Cupping is not appropriate for everyone. Please tell your therapist about medications, skin conditions, pregnancy, blood-clotting concerns, or other relevant medical conditions before treatment.
