Jeff Kong

Jeff Kong has built Tri-Covery around his unique blend of experiences as an athlete, trainer and massage therapist. Client and professional referrals account for the continued growth of Tri-Covery.

Sports trainers/coaches, physicians and other therapists frequently send their clients to Tri-Covery to experience the benefits of the specialized approach and therapies offered here.

Sports Trainer/Massage Therapist

Jeff received his massage therapy training under the late Irene Gauthier, known nationally as “The Grandmother of Massage,” founder of the Irene’s Myomassology Institute. In 1999, Jeff began gaining experience as both a sports trainer and a massage therapist. It was during this time that Jeff discovery how well the two applications complemented each other and could benefit his clients.

By 2006, Jeff’s unique combination of massage and sports training had developed a strong clientele of endurance athletes such as marathoners, triathletes, adventure racers and cyclists. His skills were helping many athletes recover from their strenuous athletic training and injuries.

In 2010, Jeff stepped out on his own to fulfill his vision for a new type of massage therapy facility – Tri-Covery. At Tri-Covery, Jeff and his highly-trained staff, deliver the most effective therapies available for improvement of physical dexterity and recovery from injuries.

  • Tri-covery is a place to find serious sports massage. I’m disappointed that Yelp! has massage listed under “beauty and spas” since what you’ll find here is more of a “treatment for sore, overused muscles”. While the suite itself is a little hard to find, the space is cozy and inviting. Jeff is an easy going friendly guy who takes the time to get to know his clients, what they need, and what they’re looking for when they come in.

    I cannot say enough good things about Jeff or his work. In 2006 I decided, against my body’s better wishes to become a runner and triathlete. As a result, I’ve been working with him since 2007 or 08 (when he was working out of another establishment). But now he has his own place! Jeff is a very talented, reliable sports massage therapist with a wide range of knowledge. In addition to getting help recovering from my various athletic endeavors, I’ve learned so much about how muscles in the human body work together, and things to do to help keep from getting hurt. I would not be where I am today (running more, slightly faster miles) without him.

    So, next time you overdo it mountain biking, or realize you can’t quite turn your head to the left anymore, this is the place to go. The next time you want a “spa day” with your friends…I can’t help you. I’m sure there are plenty of those places around, too.

  • I started seeing Brian less than a year ago and he has totally changed the way I recover my body in between training sessions. I remember when he first asked me “have you ever been stretched by someone?” I was thinking well no…but I’m up for giving it a try. Brian has so much knowledge about the human body and he is great at showing me things to do at home before and after workouts. I have gotten so much stronger and I now have so much more mobility and less pain, plus if anything comes up like a shoulder or knee problem I know Brian will be able to figure it out and help me out. If you’re doing any type of hard training, I highly recommend adding Tri-Covery as part of your regimen. I see Brian Anzures and he is great; He listens to me whine about my aches/pains of the day and provides helpful feedback (e.g., stretches and movements to help with my issues)!

  • Jeff did lots of stretching with me on my first visit, talking me through every single one and enlightening me about my own muscles and how various ones were affecting my SI joint area. My second and third visits were more massage-focused and it seems he’s some sort of muscle-joint-bone whisperer, because I’ve noticed a significant reduction of aches and stabs in my pelvis that I would normally feel multiple times a day. I can’t even fully explain how cool it was on my second visit when Jeff found some painful areas near my SI joint and literally worked them free of that pain. It would start out painful when he touched, but he would (gently) persist and the pain would dissipate. It was amazing.
    I would highly recommend Jeff and his team if you’re dealing with chronic pain. I have no idea how my SI-joint got to be so jacked up over the years, but it’s finally receiving what it needs.
